ABOUT
THE EARLY YEARS
Anne Bonny was born in Kinsale, Ireland, c1699. She and her parents moved to Charles Town, Carolina in 1701. She met her buccaneering husband when she was 15 or 16. Over the complaints of her father, the two were married and left for Nassau.
Life with James Bonny didn't turn out like she thought it would, so she left Bonny and connected with John "Calico Jack" Rackham. With him she became a true pirate of the Caribbean. She, Jack and the entire crew were captured.
History records that in 1721 John "Calico Jack" Rackham and his crew were hanged, except for Anne Bonny and Mary Reed who plead "their bellies" because they were pregnant. Historical records has Mary Reed dying in prison and pregnant Anne Bonny remaining there.
With that, written history ends.
So, with that Historical Skeleton, (excuse the pun) we begin "The Absolutely True Story of Anne Bonny, The World's First Female Pirate, in her Own Words".
